1. Introduction
Apphive Technologies ("we", "us", "our") operates the Manna mobile application ("Manna" or the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our App.
By using Manna, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you sign in using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In, we receive your:
- Name (as provided by the sign-in provider)
- Email address
- Profile photo URL (if available)
We do not receive or store your Google or Apple password. Authentication is handled securely by the respective provider using OAuth 2.0.
2.2 User-Generated Content
We store the following content that you create within the App:
- Questions you ask the Bible
- Saved verses and collections
- Personal notes you add to saved items
- Mood selections
2.3 Usage Data
We collect anonymised usage data including:
- Daily question count (for rate limiting)
- Streak and reading statistics
- Language and translation preferences
2.4 Subscription Data
If you subscribe to Manna Premium, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We receive subscription status information through RevenueCat but never receive or store your payment card details.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the App's core features
- Generate personalised Scripture-based answers to your questions
- Store your saved verses, collections, and notes
- Track your reading streaks and growth statistics
- Manage your subscription and premium features
- Enforce usage limits for free accounts
4. AI-Generated Content
Manna uses artificial intelligence to provide Scripture-based answers and reflections. Your questions are sent to our secure backend to generate responses. We do not use your questions to train AI models. Questions may be temporarily processed but are not retained for machine learning purposes.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure with industry-standard encryption. All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS). Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using the platform's secure storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android).
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with third parties for advertising purposes. Your data may be shared only with:
- Supabase — our database and authentication provider
- RevenueCat — for subscription management (receives only anonymised user IDs)
- Apple / Google — for authentication and payment processing
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — Use the "Download My Data" feature in Profile > Privacy & Legal to export all your data
- Delete your account — Use "Delete Account" in Profile settings, or visit our account deletion page
- Withdraw consent — You can stop using the App at any time
When you delete your account, all your personal data including saved verses, collections, notes, and usage history is permanently deleted from our servers.
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymised, aggregated usage statistics may be retained for analytical purposes.
9. Children's Privacy
Manna is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Cookies & Tracking
The Manna mobile app does not use cookies or third-party tracking technologies. We do not display advertisements. We do not use analytics SDKs that track users across apps.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
